| Upcoming Music | Thursday 2/11 (7PM) Community Cinema Free monthly screenings of these PBS Independent Lens films in the Side Room, every 2nd Thursday of the month. This month the film is - The Eyes of Me ........... | Thursday 2/11 (8PM) Benefit Concert
........... | Friday 2/12 (8PM) North Columbia alternative acoustic folk rock. North Columbia is a band out of the Triangle area (Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill) formed to bring together a group of friends who shared an affection for playing original music and -taking it to the people- (referring here to our love of playing live...not a veiled reference to any kind of political movement). We play all-original music which is difficult to characterize - maybe -alt-country-ska-folk- if we are forced to put a name to it. Our members hail from diverse backgrounds, all of which now include serious day-jobs and parenthood - that may explain the energy with which we engage our music...it helps keep us young at heart. We really enjoy live shows, so come on out and see us if you are looking to hear some original music from the southern part of heaven.
North Colubia is: zach pekar (guitar, vocals, violin), warren johnson (acoustic/electric lead guitar, slide, lap steel), marty boles (bass), mike ofoghludha (congas), and will bettmann (djembe) + other friends dropping in from time to time... ........... | Saturday 2/13 (8PM) Puritan Rodeo
........... | Sunday 2/14 (7PM) Valentines Eve Music Join us after your romantic dinner and keep the feel with a glass of wine and a live classic harpist to capture the mood! ........... |
